Some design inspiration

I love dreaming about what my future home will be like, and enjoying what other people's homes currently look like. I draw my design aesthetic from a lot of places, and here are some design concepts that I really like:

Although I wouldn't specificially want this room for mine, I like that the designer has done with the limited space.

Picasso was in a park when a woman approached him and asked him to draw a portrait of her.

Picasso agreed and quickly sketches her.

After handing the sketch to her, she is pleased with the likeness and asks how much she owed to him.

Picasso replies: "$5,000."

The woman screamed, "But it took you only five minutes."

"No, madam, it took me all my life" replied Picasso.

In the Jungle

When I was little, I loved to pretend I lived in the jungle- but for Canadian jewelry Designer, that dream is true; this house was custom built for John Hardy and his wife. You can see the full post about it, but I just decided to post some of the pictures that I really liked. Enjoy!

Keira Knightly's Atonement Dress: Someone had an article about it on craftster- I'd never seen it before, but when I saw the pictures, I was blown away; thinking about all the draping and craftsmanship that went into it makes my head spin. I'd love to make something like this, but I'd never have anywhere to wear it to hehe

Anyway, here it is:

so I just went on another deleting spree on facebook. If youre still my friend, consider yourself lucky ;)
Anyway, in the spirit of facebooking, I thought I'd post some of my favorite recent failbook entries:

And this isn't facebook, but I laughed out loud:

One of my favorite quotes

"Chronic remorse, as all the moralists are agreed, is a most undesirable sentiment. If you have behaved badly, repent, make what amends you can and address yourself to the task of behaving better next time. On no account brood over your wrong-doing. Rolling in the muck is not the best way of getting clean."

-Aldous Huxley

Recent Obsessions

1. The Aurora Australis
Recently, I was talking to a good friend of mine named Paul, and he told me about the Auroura Austalis- a phenomenon I never knew about until saturday. It is the southern hemisphere's equivalent to the Northern Lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis, which usually consist of green, blue and purple streaks. The southern lights feature these colors, as well as pale pink, red, orange and even yellow.
Alright, enough chitty chat-

2. Thrift Shopping

3. Avon Glazewear Shine Lipgloss in Iced Pink- beth gave me a sample and I am so hooked. I can't wait till my order comes in!

4. Recently I have been really into making my own cheese fries- the fries are seasoned with paprika, garlic powder, salt and itallian seasoning; american, cheddar and cream cheese are melted on top. This isnt a picture of my fries, but they still look good :)

5. I called keebler today to discover that Cheez It thin crisps are out of production! I am so heart broken! Now they are all I can think about- I shall bitterly miss their flavor
